Another Day at the Shelter

Starting last week, my day for teaching at The Shelter was switched to Thursday, so last Thursday I made the 2-hour trip there once again. Eder, intern from Ecuador, and Efrain, intern from Nicaragua, accompanied me.

We had a scavenger hunt as part of class this time. We have been studying items found in the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. If the object they needed to find was too big to carry, they were to draw a picture instead. Well, wouldn't you know it, Johnny decided to carry an armchair from the house to the classroom! Crazy guy! At any rate, I had a lot of fun watching them scurry around to find everything, and I think they had fun scurrying around!:)

After class, we stayed a little longer while they brought over a guitar and listened to Eder and Efrain play a couple Spanish songs. Then (of course:) it was time to take a few photos!

Efrain listens to King play a Thai song. King earlier was having a great time trying to learn the song Efrain played.
