Valentine's Eve
I've wanted to do a blog about the wonderful Valentine's Eve that The REACH team gave to the team. It all started because they were to babysit Clair and Eliza while Tom and Candice had "date night" to celebrate Valentine's Day.
So in addition to caring for Clair and Eliza, the REACHers decided to give the rest of us a special evening as well. We sat at a beautifully decorated table, complete with handmade Valentines acting as place cards. And we ate by candlelight.

We had a delicious "maak-maak"!!! meal of parmesan boneless chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed veggies, and homemade rolls. I think I'm leaving something out. We had coffee and a Costa Rican style dessert in honor of our Costa Rican team member, Raul. I forget what it was called, but it was also WONDERFUL! It was a yellow cake soaked in a sweet sauce and topped with whipped cream. Yummmmm!!

OH, and Raul, bless his heart, gave each of us a Valentine's gift. He's a good guy!:) Here's my gift: red silk rose plus pink princess pen (so named by Clair)

I think we all ate until we were stuffed to the max. Then we sat around the table for quite a while chatting, laughing, and being silly together.

Oh my, I really enjoy having the REACHers here. They are serious about getting involved in ministry here, but they also bring life and energy and enthusiasm. I love that.
