My Neighborhood

Now that I have only about 7 more months to go, I decided to video a tiny bit of my neighborhood, though mostly capitalizing on traffic.

Facing Soi Srisamit, my street, across the big road known as Theparak Rd. The second building down from the first tall corner building is my apartment building, where I live on the fifth floor. (It's not exactly easy to see.:)

Next are 3 video clips I took today regarding traffic. The first one is standing across Theparak Road prior to crossing it. The next two are actually crossing the busy street. I like to take my cues from other Thais; I feel safe crossing with them.:)

PS Remember the totally irrelevant entry? Of the ones who responded, Terri hit the nail on the head! How'd you do that, Terri????:)

Just remember when you come back to the states that we drive on the other side of the road here...

Hi Peter! Do I know you? The only Peter I can think of is Peter Hadad, and I haven't heard from him in forever? About the Thai, yes, it could seem wasted, but it doesn't feel that way to me; it was worth the agony.:)

Seven more months to go? After all that effort to learn Thai? What happened...
