Celebration #3
We've been trying to have "celebration meetings" once a month. A celebration meeting is basically a joint meeting of any small groups that are forming. So far we have one or two small groups happening through Dan and Raul's outreach.
Today we had our third celebration in Bang Bo, about an hour from where I live. We met in Wana and Utai's new home, where we ate lunch together, then sang and studied the Bible together.
Once again, we had quite the spread. If anyone went hungry it was their own fault!

Raul is being goofy as he leaves the house.:) You should hear him talk with Colleen sometimes. Since Colleen knows Spanish quite fluently, Raul loves to talk Spanish with her. We like to kid him that he talks too much.:) But the truth is, he has about 2 or 3 people with whom he can talk his native language and doesn't speak a lot of English, so he needs to talk Spanish when he has the opportunity!

I was planning on going home and taking a nap after our meeting, as I was expecting to teach English at 7 pm to Gop (Frog), the younger son of the apartment manager. But no nap was to take place. They nabbed me the minute I walked in the door; I think they spotted me on the security cameras as I approached the building.:)
So they ushered me straight into the office, where they offered me snacks and a drink. Then Gop sat down next to me to have his English lesson. He is studying for an entrance test to our equivalent of 6th grade, I think. The first part of the test takes place on Tuesday, so now he is cramming.:)
Ruung, Gop's mom, made supper for me, and then I studied some more with Gop. I think I finally got to my apartment about 9:00 tonight. But they are such sweet family. They asked me to study with him again tomorrow evening, so I will revise my schedule to include that.
On that note, I think I will close; it is now past 11:30 and past my bedtime.:)
