More Thai Trivia
Wow, I received a request for more Thai trivia!:) Unfortunately I no longer have the book to browse through (it was borrowed), but I might remember one or two things. Oh yes, babies! The book said that traditionally the way to compliment parents on a newborn is a) if the baby is a girl, tell the parents that she looks like her dad and b) if the baby is a boy, tell the parents that he looks like his mother! Interesting!
Never point your feet toward a Thai--feet are the lowest, therefore the lowliest, part of the body. And never pat a child on the head. I forget why! But both are considered insults.
Regarding support, I am now about 2/3 there and trusting God to provide the rest!
Prayer request: that God would prepare His niche for me in Thailand, whatever that niche might look like. I have just decided to go on a student visa to study Thai full-time for starters. Maybe that will lead me to the people God wants me to minister to???
Thanks for your prayers!

Hi, Sharon. It is good to hear of the steps and progress you are making in this new venture. I'm proud of you. I also love hearing about Thai culture and trivia.
I will continue to pray for you and the mission that God is leading you into.
